Our Parents and Child classes promote early development and provide a strong foundation for your child's critical first three years. We feel it is very important to allow children of all abilities to have a successful experience in gymnastics classes. Children attend this class along with a parent or caregiver for fun and a parent and child bonding experience. Quality time for both is the key. Class time is a good opportunity to develop physical awareness, work on coordination, balance, listening skills with music and movement exploration. This is a class for walkers to 3 years old. It is designed to be a fun bonding experience for the parent and child. This is typically the first organized class of any type that your toddler will experience. Our professional instructor will guide you and your toddler through our curriculum of fun activities on child-friendly equipment designed to make learning easy and safe. This is a 45-minute class. This stimulating program introduces balancing, tumbling, hanging and agility skills, which helps the children develop a love of physical activity and a sense of pride in their achievements. At this age, a child's level of independent mobility will typically progress from aggressive crawling to running. Additional fine and gross motor skills developed during this stage include kicking a ball, building a block tower, riding a tricycle, and walking upstairs. Our instructors shower the children with affection, as they guide your toddler in early social skills through interactive songs and choreographed dances. Parents will be instructed on how to assist their child to participate in a variety of age-appropriate gymnastics activities.

Developing early fitness and wellness habits is an invaluable foundation for all youngsters. This is an age when children need to move and socialize and learn best in a structured setting. Children like to know whats coming next. Kids love climbing, jumping and rolling on and off of obstacles, while at the same time burning energy and learning how to fall and land safely. This class was created with your child's current developmental stage in mind. They will learn fundamental gymnastics skills in a fun, fast-paced class. This class focuses on the accumulation of skills, the social skills necessary to work in a group, follow direction and also the ability to string skills together, mentally and physically.

Recreational Class

 

The primary objective of the recreational program is to provide a strong foundation for beginning levels that will be able to build from in future levels. Each level has specific goals and these are designed for each child's skill level both physically and mentally. Gymnastics helps develop coordination, flexibility, balance, strength, self-confidence and discipline which helps provide a strong foundation for all sports throughout life.

Beginner Recreational Class

This class is designed for students with little or no gymnastics experience. Athletes will learn sequential skill progression basics on all the Olympic events under the guidelines of USA programs. Gymnasts will focus on the fundamental building blocks of almost all gymnastics skills. Athletes will spend time hanging, swinging, and supporting themselves on the bars in order to build the necessary strength to pull over onto the bars. Balance and coordination on beam will continue to improve thought repetition of walking, jumping and kicking, leading into turns and leaps. The focus on vault will begin with proper running technique, skipping and hurdling drill. All athletes will grow at their individual pace with encouragement and positive reinforcement from our coaching staff.

Intermediate Recreational class

This class is for gymnasts who have mastered the basic skills taught in the beginner classes and who are ready to train on a more advanced skill level. All recreational classes are designed to be a continuation of skills and growth from the previous classes, your athlete will continue to build strength and increase flexibility.

Advanced Recreational Class

 

Monday     6:00pm - 6:55pm

These classes are specifically for gymnasts who have completed beginner and Intermediate level, who have advanced skill level class and mastered the recommended skills.

Tumbling

 

Wednesday     6:00pm  -6:55pm
Thursday     6:00pm  -6:55pm

This is a great class for cheerleaders and anyone just interested in tumbling. They will be taught tumbling skills, body positions, and strength building skills. They use the floor, trampoline, and random apparatus to fit the curriculum for the week. If they are looking to become cheerleaders, then this is the perfect class for them. We work with each child's individual ability level so beginners, intermediate, and advanced are all welcome.

Boys Recreational Class

This is a great experience were kids have the freedom to play and practice their gymnastics skills. No experience required to come out and have a fun night
